Jumping in June…

U.S. home prices rose 2.3% in June in the nation’s largest cities, the fourth straight monthly increase and another sign the housing market might have turned the corner, according to new data released Tuesday.

Prices in June also were up 0.5% from a year earlier in the 20 largest cities, the first year-over-year increase since the summer of 2010, according to the Standard & Poor’s/Case-Shiller index. Nationally, prices rose 6.9% in the second quarter of 2012 from the first quarter…(read full article)
